Welcome to Café con Soul, a coffee company born and brewed right here in Chicago—the city of big shoulders, and even bigger hearts. Just like the diverse neighborhoods that make up our incredible city, we believe the best coffee experiences are rich, complex, and full of life from every corner of the globe.
We're more than just a coffee shop; we’re a melting pot in a mug. Our roots are firmly planted in Chicago's spirit of multiculturalism and diversity, which is reflected in every aspect of our business. From the global origins of our beans to the unique flavors we craft, and most importantly, the people we hire and serve—inclusion is the fuel in our espresso machine.

From farm to cup, we are committed to ethical sourcing, intentional storytelling, and fostering unity - one sip, one smile, and one shared experience at a time.

Our Coffee
Conscious cup owners
Conscious cup coffee owners, see coffee shops as more than just a place to go to grab a cup of coffee- they believe it is the heartbeat of the community and we do too! They believed in it so much they now have 5 locations on the north side of Chicago and are branching out to help others. They are a family-owned business that has been operating since 2006. They believe in coffee’s opportunity to improve lives and when we connected with them, we felt the family connection. Of course, it is business but in all that we are building they are with us every step of the way! We are fortunate to have them be a part of the beginning and to work with throughout this journey.
Coffee Roasting
Everything they do is done with awareness and intention. They focus on four things: Farming, Processing, people first and serving. They ensure that when roasting coffee they know it will affect the richness of the aroma and flavor in the coffees they purchase for both single-origin and blended offerings. They ensure they are choosing suppliers that have the most amazing coffee from around the world and picking coffee at the peak of ripeness. They are not roasting in vast batches to provide large amounts to serve they roast coffee weekly and taste it weekly to ensure they are staying true to the pureness of the best coffee in the Chicago area.
Harvesting
Conscious cups Philosophy is simple; They believe in doing well by doing good. That means sourcing coffee from some of the world’s best producers- farmers who care deeply about their community, the environment and quality. They make it a point to visit the farmers that grow the coffee and take care of them (extended family) in business to cultivate a great working relationship no matter the distance. They assist in pouring into sustainable markets for farmers and producers, ensuring they can grow and prosper. In learning this their beliefs (everything done with awareness and intention, considering equity, culture, and the environment) matched ours once again!
